Description: The Thomas Moore House is a two-story, residential building constructed in 1896 in the Queen Anne style. The dwelling is one of Poplar Bluff's most representative examples of the Queen Anne style and it is noteworthy for its unaltered design. The Thomas Moore House is a two-and-one-half-story, irregular-plan, frame dwelling. It has a brick foundation, gable and hipped roof, an interior brick
chimney, and exterior of weatherboard siding. The dwelling retains its original porch columns, wood shingled gables, and stained glass window. The interior displays its original floor plan and decorative woodwork. This woodwork includes an ornate staircase, pocket doors, and wainscoting. The dwelling retains a high degree of integrity on both the interior and exterior. The dwelling is included within the Residential Buildings property type of the Historic Resources of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, multiple property nomination.
